North American Sonic Arts Collective (NASAC)
The North American Sonic Arts Collective is an organization dedicated to the presentation of acousmatic music and sound art, consisting of members Kramer Elwell, Jon Fielder, and Tim Roy.
Coming January 2026 NASC will be presenting the first ever Twin Cities Loudspeaker Orchestra, a 4-concert series of contemporary sound art presented by a consortium of acclaimed local and international composers and sound artists.
Each concert explores a unique program on a bespoke loudspeaker array built for our partnership with The Southern Theater. Inspired by the European “Acousmonium” — the TC Loudspeaker Orchestra immerses audiences into a powerful, spatial listening experience where the theater itself becomes a surround-sound instrument. Sound artists "diffuse" sound across a network of speakers, creating the sensation of motion, texture, space, and dramatic aural cinematic experiences.
